Family photo sessions with large families are never quiet — and that’s exactly what makes them so special.

This beautiful session at the Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay was filled with nonstop laughter, movement, creativity, and what I like to call a “beautiful chaotic mess.” With six children full of personality and energy, there was never a dull moment from beginning to end.

And honestly? It was absolute magic.

A Family Tradition Worth Cherishing

One of the things I loved most about this family was hearing that they organise a professional family photo session every single year for their Christmas cards.

What an incredible tradition.

Photographs become more valuable with every passing year, especially when they capture children growing, personalities evolving, and the unique connection shared within a family. These annual sessions are more than just Christmas photos — they are memories frozen in time.

Letting the Kids Lead the Fun

The best part of the session was how involved the children became throughout the shoot. They came up with so many fun ideas themselves, bringing creativity, spontaneity, and excitement to every moment.

Rather than forcing stiff poses, we embraced movement and playfulness the entire time. I had them jumping together, running across the grass, hugging, laughing, and interacting naturally with one another.

That’s when the real magic happens.

Within the series of images, you can truly feel the complicity and connection between every member of the family. The laughter was genuine, the hugs were real, and the energy between the siblings created such a beautiful atmosphere.

Some moments were wild and chaotic, while others were soft and emotional — but every single image reflected love, joy, and togetherness.

The tropical beauty of Momi Bay provided the perfect backdrop, with its calm waters, swaying palms, and warm Fijian light adding to the relaxed and joyful mood of the session.
