A Simple Stroll to a Perfect Spot
When Monica reached out for a family photo session during their holiday in Fiji, she mentioned wanting something relaxed, natural, and true to who they are. They were staying at the Radisson Blu Resort in Denarau, which is beautiful and family-friendly — but it doesn’t have a beach. No problem! Just a short 5-minute walk away is the stunning beachfront of the Sheraton, and that’s exactly where we headed for their session.
Golden Light and Playful Energy
We met early in the morning, just as the sun was climbing and casting a soft golden glow over the sand and water. It was the perfect time — not too hot, and quiet enough for the kids to run around freely. Charlie and Alex, Monica and Declan’s boys, brought the energy and laughter. From the moment we started, they were full of life, exploring the beach, playing in the sand, chasing each other, and sharing cheeky grins with the camera.
Candid Moments That Tell the Story
Rather than overly posed shots, I focused on capturing the moments as they unfolded — candid, playful, and real. There were tickles, hugs, a bit of sand-throwing (as expected!), and genuine family connection in every frame. The photos reflect this family exactly as they are: warm, loving, and joyfully chaotic in the best way.
Letting the Kids Lead
Monica and Declan were easygoing and happy to let the boys lead the vibe of the session, which made for such authentic photos. By the end, everyone was barefoot, slightly sandy, and smiling.
Memories Made in the Moment
This session is a beautiful reminder that you don’t need elaborate plans or perfect outfits for great family photos — just a bit of beach, some morning light, and the people you love.
